I am using Oppo Reno 11 with ColorOS 14.0 and ColorOS Launcher and have the same issue. I found a work around where an android popup appears to confirm if you want to create a shortcut or not. I just didn't choose any of the options else I dragged the icon from there to my home screen and it worked. #176
