If the download comes as a ZIP file:
- Download the ZIP file.
- Right-click the file.
- Choose Extract All.
- Open the extracted folder.
- Find the app file inside the folder.
- Double-click the file to start the app.
If the download comes as an EXE file:
- Download the EXE file.
- Double-click it.
- Allow Windows to run the app.
- Follow the setup window if one appears.
- Open clear-code from your desktop or Start menu.
After you open clear-code, you can use the dashboard to review your logs.
- Open the main view to see recent entries
- Use search to find a message or command
- Scroll through the timeline to track activity

To keep clear-code working well:

- Check for a newer version.
- Download the new file.
- Replace the old version if needed.
- Open the app again.
If the app does not open:
- Make sure the file finished downloading
- Try right-clicking the app and choosing Run as administrator
- Check that Windows did not block the file
- Move the file to a simple folder like Downloads or Desktop
- Restart your PC and try again
If your logs do not show up:
- Check that Claude Code created the log files
- Make sure the app can read the log folder
- Refresh the dashboard
- Open the right log source
If the screen looks blank:
- Resize the window
- Restart the app
- Open a newer log file
- Check whether the log data is empty
